School Pictures

Here they are! Thanks to Lindsey for making sure they looked adorable. They are growing up way too fast! And as far a yearbook photos go, these look pretty good to me!

Happy HALLoween!

Halloween is always such a fun day! LOTS of preparation, and LOTS of work, but I absolutely love it! Here are our spooks today.

We went to the Halloween Parade at the Elementary, and then this afternoon we will go to see Grandpa Virg. Then trick or treating up in the Poplar area by Ed and Britney. After there is too much candy to carry, we will head to the party at Jerry and JoAnn’s. Can’t wait for the cinnamon rolls and breadsticks and chili!

Happy Halloween from these cute little spooks!

(CJ changed his mind this morning that he was going to be Superman, and not wear the Iron Man costume we got him… we will see what he decides tonight!)

Environmental Center Field Trip

Today I was able to go on a field trip with Taylor and part of the 3rd grade. We went to the Environmental Center in the Valley by North Fork. Casey and a lot of the other people our age remember going there to sleep over when they were in elementary. OBVIOUSLY that doesn’t happen anymore. There were lots of fun activities, and I even got the opportunity to taste some school lunch. (WOW! I will not argue anymore when the kids say they want to take lunch from home!)

We started by looking at things in the microscope and making animal tracks with stamps.

It was such a fun day to be together! She is such a sweet girl, and loves to learn. It is fun for me to see her in her school environment with her friends. Thanks for letting me be part of this fun day with you Beans!

Carving

One of the Fall traditions that isn’t my favorite, but what is a Mom to do?

Pettingil’s

For a Preschool field trip, I took CJ and Krey to Pettingil’s on Hwy 89 for a Hayride. There was however one BIG problem… there was no hayride! We got there at 10, and at 10:50, after standing in the cold for nearly an hour, I took the boys and left. They were not prepared. Turns out they did get the wagon and horses there at about 11:25. The boys still had a good time picking out a pumpkin! It was fun to be with the two of them. They are definitely boys, and I love when they are being good friends!

Together

I feel like since we got home from Africa, our lives have been busier than ever! We finally had a night at home together… all of us.

We had Chili Verde for dinner and then the kids went outside with Casey. They wanted to ride, so Casey saddled up the horses and took each of them for a ride down the road. CJ LOVED it! He was like a noodle, no stiffness in his body at all, just flopping around in the saddle as Casey led Birdie! These pictures make my heart so happy! I love watching them together.

Happy Birthday Taylor

Our little Taylor is 9 YEARS OLD!! We have had a LONG celebration of this girl’s birthday. She had a birthday party on Saturday for her cousins and friends. She wanted an American Girl Tea Party. The girls came and had little sandwiches and cupcakes and oreo balls and cheese and crackers. They ate and laughed, a lot! Their dolls had their own tea party too. Taylor loves tea parties, and we were sure to take lots of photos to share with Grandma Sharon. Then we played American Girl Bingo and made Pom Pom scarves for the dolls. It was such a mess and so much fun!

So,Taylor had a party on Saturday, then her Grandparents came for dinner on Sunday. Then on Monday we had a party for Rio an Taylor’s Birthday, and to have fun with Angela before her surgery. And finally it was her ACTUAL birthday! She was showered with gifts over the many days. Today I went and got her iPod screen fixed, so that was her final gift. I think she loved it! ♥
